Saudi Aramco Is Finding So Much Natural Gas It Could Export At Least 3 Bcf/d By 2030: CEO
S&P Global reported: Saudi Arabia could be exporting 3 Bcf/d of natural gas before 2030, making it one of the world’s major suppliers, Aramco CEO Amin Nasser said Tuesday, as the company continues to find more reserves and use less crude oil for power generation. “We have a lot of gas coming,” Nasser told reporters on the sidelines of the International Petroleum Week conference in London. “The numbers keep changing because we keep finding more gas. For the time being, we are talking about 3 Bcf/d over, I would say, the next decades.” He later clarified that would occur “before 2030, for sure”, and that Aramco was exploring both pipeline and liquefied gas exports. Joint Venture To Add Crude Oil, Natural Gas & Saltwater Pipelines in Permian Basin
Chron reported: A new joint venture between two pipeline companies will allow their customers to move more crude oil, natural gas and produced water on the New Mexico side of the Permian Basin. Five Point Energy of Houston and Matador Resources of Houston announced the formation of San Mateo Midstream II LLC on Monday. The joint venture will provide services ranging from natural gas gathering and processing to crude oil gathering, produced water gathering and saltwater disposal in southeastern New Mexico. The region is part of the Delaware Basin, the western lobe of the larger Permian Basin — the most active shale play in the United States. “The Delaware remains one of the most promising producing basins in North America, yet it lacks sufficient permanent ‘in-basin’ midstream infrastructure,” Five Point Energy CEO David Capobianco said in a statement. Matador Resources will own 51 percent of San Mateo Midstream II and Five Point will own 49 percent. For more on this story visit chron.com or click https://bit.ly/2H2fGjy
