Hurricane Sally made landfall early this morning near Gulf Shores, AL as a category 2 hurricane with sustained winds of 105 mph. The storm is currently battering the Alabama coast and the Florida Panhandle. Sally is a slow moving storm and has already dropped 15 inches of rain in some areas and may drop up to 35 inches of rain in some places as the storm continues.
Terminals in Pascagoula, Pensacola, and Mobile have closed due to the storm. Mansfield is in contact with local suppliers and carriers to determine other closures and outages. Mansfield is currently on Code Orange for each of the following areas: New Orleans market and coastal Mississippi, coastal Alabama. and the Florida Panhandle. As the storm passes, Mansfield’s Operations Team will assess damage and communicate further information as it becomes available. |
