Natural Gas is hanging on to the small weekend rally by a thread. Production is much lower on the heels of planned maintenance, so expect it to ramp back up soon. The weather is uncharacteristically cold in some parts of the country for this time of the year. We really need some heat in the Southeast and Texas soon or we will go under $2.50 as we approach settlement. We expect a lot of chop for the next few days, and also expect a triple digit injection Thursday.

O&G Rise after US Seizure of Iranian Ships Imperils Talks

Oil and natural gas prices rose after the US Navy seized an Iranian ship during a chaotic weekend that saw Tehran firing at vessels and reimposing controls in the Strait of Hormuz. Brent crude traded near $95 a barrel, recouping roughly half of its slump on Friday, when a reopening of the key waterway was announced, while European gas was up about 3%.
