Cold Forecasts Raise Natural Gas Prices to $4.6
Natural gas is up today, hitting a high of $4.6275/MMBtu after weather forecasts indicated that a colder December was on the way, and weather is proving to be the driving force in gas prices for now. The weather forecast is driving gas prices slightly higher, but there are concerns about Thursday’s EIA storage report and what it could mean for natural gas values. Natural Gas Continues to Consolidate
Natural gas markets have drifted a little bit lower during the trading session on Thursday in the early hours, but we still find a lot of noise in this market. At this juncture, it looks like we are consolidating between the $4.70 level and the $4.20 level. That is not a huge surprise. A 50-cent range is not overly rare in this market; it is pretty typical.
