Mansfield extends its wishes for safety and warmth to all those in the path of Winter Storm Fern.

As freezing temperatures push further east, many fuel markets have ground to a halt. Fuel supply terminals have closed as a preventative measure, allowing personnel to seek shelter. Fuel carriers across the affected areas have also progressively removed fuel trucks from the road. Power outages are rising, with over 100,000 reported across eastern Texas and northern Louisiana.

Depending on local road conditions, deliveries may not be able to safely resume until Monday or Tuesday. Mansfield is working closely with carriers to assess the situation in each market. Fuel deliveries are being made where possible, and plans are underway for refueling as soon as impacted areas are safe again.

Road conditions are expected to be too hazardous for fuel deliveries in most of the affected areas through at least Sunday evening. Mansfield has moved markets from Texas to New England to Code Red, requesting 72-hour notice for new deliveries.

Mansfield has teams working around the clock to ensure emergency needs are handled throughout the United States. To report changes in demand or to speak with Mansfield’s fuel delivery team, reach out to our main operations line: 1-800-695-6626.

Post-Storm Planning

Snow and ice aren’t just problems out on the road. During fuel deliveries, one of the most common causes of missed deliveries is snow and ice covering fill lids, making it impossible to find the tank or access the fill port.

If your site has a delivery scheduled, make sure that the fill caps are visible and cleared of snow and ice.
