Winter Storm Alert – January 11, 2025
Winter Storm Cora has exited the Southeast, with Pennsylvania now facing the storm’s final impacts. Areas throughout the Southeast affected by Cora have lingering concerns, primarily strong winds and ice accumulation that threaten power lines. Over 76,000 customers remain without power in Georgia due to ice-related damage.
The storm brought heavy snow and ice across multiple regions: Atlanta and Birmingham metro areas saw 1-4 inches of snow and sleet, with freezing rain causing ice accumulations of up to a quarter inch. Little Rock and Memphis experienced 7-11 inches and 4-7 inches of snow, respectively, while Dallas-Fort Worth received 2.6 inches.
Winter Storm Cora disrupted transportation and infrastructure, particularly in cities like Atlanta, Charlotte, Columbia, and Nashville. Hazardous conditions led to canceled flights and dangerous roads that were not fit for fuel delivery trucks in many areas.
We encourage customers in affected areas to prepare for potential delays and disruptions. Safety remains our top priority, and we are working closely with our carriers to minimize delays.
Mansfield is operating at Code Orange and requests 48 hours for new deliveries in the following states: Arkansas, Mississippi, Kansas, Missouri, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Texas.
For customers enrolled in Mansfield’s inventory management and ColdPRO programs, Mansfield treats deliveries with appropriate additives and kerosene blends to prevent gelling and optimize cold-weather performance. Customers who have not done so already are encouraged to enroll in Mansfield’s ColdPRO program or contact info@mansfieldoil.com for assistance. Our team remains available 24/7 to provide support during these severe weather events.
Stay safe and warm.
