Winter Storm Alert – Winter Storm Cora – January 10, 2025

By Published On: January 10, 2025Categories: Alerts, Storm Season, Winter Weather

Winter Storm Cora continues to move East, dropping freezing temperatures, snow, and ice to multiple states. Snow and ice are causing hazardous road conditions and temporary operations delays for fuel delivery. Heavy ice accumulation on power lines and tree limbs could cause power outages, and travel in certain areas could be impossible.

Severe weather is delaying fuel deliveries in some areas where carriers have pulled trucks off the roads. Expect the storm to cause extended delivery times, stretching carrier capacity. Wind and ice could also bring damage to local fuel terminals – though no damage is currently expected.

We encourage customers in affected areas to prepare for potential delays and disruptions. Safety remains our top priority, and we are working closely with our carriers to minimize delays.

Mansfield is operating at Code Orange and requests 48 hours for new deliveries in the following states: Arkansas, Mississippi, Kansas, Missouri, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Texas.

For customers enrolled in Mansfield’s inventory management and ColdPRO programs, Mansfield treats deliveries with appropriate additives and kerosene blends to prevent gelling and optimize cold-weather performance. Customers who have not done so already are encouraged to enroll in Mansfield’s ColdPRO program or contact info@mansfieldoil.com for assistance. Our team remains available 24/7 to provide support during these severe weather events.

Stay safe and warm.
