Gas prices rising: Drivers could feel ‘real pain’ at the pump by springtime, expert warns
It likely won’t be until March, as temperatures rise and spring break nears, that “we’ll start to see gasoline demand surge, along with refiners doing maintenance ahead of the summer driving season, creating a squeeze,” Patrick De Haan, the head of petroleum at GasBuddy told FOX Business. The national average price for a gallon of gasoline in the U.S. rose to $3.31 this week, up 1.3 cents from a week ago, according to GasBuddy data. Oil hit 7-year highs as tight supply bites
Oil prices on Tuesday climbed to their highest since 2014 as investors worried about global political tensions involving major producers such as the United Arab Emirates and Russia that could exacerbate the already tight supply outlook. Drone attack in Abu Dhabi claimed by Yemen’s rebels kills 3
A drone attack claimed by Yemen’s Houthi rebels targeting a key oil facility in Abu Dhabi killed three people on Monday and sparked a fire at Abu Dhabi’s international airport. Emirati police identified the dead as two Indian nationals and one Pakistani. Free COVID-19 test rollout begins early online
A day ahead of the scheduled rollout of free COVID-19 tests distributed by the Biden administration, some Americans are already placing orders for their free deliveries through a form posted by the U.S. Postal Service. The White House announced last week that it would publicly launch the site COVIDtests.org on Wednesday. However, some early visitors to the website Tuesday morning were already able to see a button to order their free tests — a limited rollout that appears to have been expanded to more visitors later Tuesday afternoon.
