Mansfield Energy Named Newest “Director” Member of Low Carbon Fuels Coalition
The Low Carbon Fuels Coalition (LCFC), a technology-neutral trade association with a proven track record of supporting and expanding clean fuel standards, today announced that Mansfield Energy is the latest Director-level member to join the Coalition.
As a longstanding leader in the renewable fuels space, Mansfield has sold hundreds of millions of gallons of biodiesel, ethanol, and renewable diesel annually. As early as 2010, Mansfield held the first off-take agreement with the US’s first scalable renewable diesel plant in Geismar, Louisiana.
“For over sixty-five years, Mansfield has proudly served the last mile of the fuel supply chain, and we are committed to achieving sustainability goals for our customers. By actively participating in driving decarbonization, we’re leading the North American energy supply chain toward its climate targets,” said Jessica Masters, Director of Sustainability at Mansfield Energy. “I am honored to work with the Low Carbon Fuels Coalition and its esteemed members to pursue policies and frameworks which will support meaningful contributions in the advancement of environmental stewardship.”
“We are pleased to welcome Mansfield Energy to the diverse companies and organizations that recognize the enormous benefits of clean fuel standards,” said Robin Vercruse, Executive Director of the LCFC. “The recent passage of the LCFC-sponsored Clean Transportation Fuel Standard in New Mexico has created strong momentum across the country. Mansfield Energy joined the Coalition to support our common goal: to advocate for all-of-the-above decarbonization in transportation, through policies that will ensure long-term investment certainty for low carbon fuels.”
California, Washington, Oregon, and now the second largest oil-and-gas state, New Mexico, have all adopted Clean Fuel Standards, with states including Hawaii, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, and Minnesota also considering legislation.
Mansfield Energy joins the growing list of LCFC members, including Amazon, American Airlines, American Biogas Council, Darling Ingredients, EVgo, Gevo, Poet, Suburban Propane, Waste Management, and UPS, which represents broad support from low-carbon transportation fuel producers, distributors, service providers, and end users.
