Winter Storm Alert – Code Green

By Published On: February 22, 2021Categories: Alerts, Daily Market News & Insights

After a week of winter storms across the country, temperatures and markets are normalizing in most areas. The frigid temperatures early last week impacted fueling infrastructure and caused massive power outages across Texas. Over the weekend, crews made progress clearing more roads allowing fuel carriers in the region to get caught up on backlogged deliveries. Mansfield is moving to Code Green today as a result of this progress.

As refineries make plans to come back online after widespread outages, Texas is experiencing severe supply allocation issues and remain in Code Orange for the remainder of the week.

Due to heavy snowfall expected this week, the following Northeast states will also remain in Code Orange status:

Virginia
West Virginia
Pennsylvania
Maryland
New York
New Jersey
Delaware
Rhode Island
Massachusetts
Connecticut
Vermont
New Hampshire
Maine

In Code Orange areas, Mansfield requests that customers provide 48-hour notice, or more when possible, for orders. Advanced notification helps ensure fuel can be delivered safely and efficiently.
