Weather Alert – California Wildfires – January 13, 2025
The wildfires in California continue to impact the state, with the death toll tragically rising to 24. Firefighters are now preparing for stronger Santa Ana Winds, expected to bring gusts of 45-70 mph starting Tuesday morning through mid-day Wednesday. These winds may pose additional challenges to containment efforts and local infrastructure.
On a positive note, the Hurst Fire is now 89% contained, and the Kenneth, Archer, and Lidia fires are fully contained. This progress allows firefighters to focus their efforts on the Eaton Fire, which is 27% contained, and the Palisades Fire, currently at 13% containment.
Fuel carriers in California remain operational, utilizing alternate routes to navigate road closures and deliver fuel safely. Mansfield will continue to monitor the situation closely and adapt delivery routes as needed to minimize disruptions.
