$40 Billion Ichthys LNG Project Begins Gas Exports
Oil Price reported: France’s oil and gas major Total said on Tuesday that the first cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Ichthys LNG project offshore Western Australia had left the port of Darwin for the first export of the US$40-billion project that began producing gas in July this year. The planned production volume sat Ichthys will be 8.9 million tons of LNG annually, 1.65 million tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) a year, and around 100,000 bpd of condensate at peak production and full capacity, according to the French energy supermajor. Total is a partner in the Ichthys LNG venture with a 30-percent stake, while the operator is Japan’s largest exploration and production company, Inpex. Inpex also confirmed on Tuesday that the first LNG cargo departed from Australia en route to INPEX-operated Naoetsu LNG terminal in Niigata Prefecture in Japan. US’ Range Resources to Fill Rover Gas Pipeline Volumes by Yearend; Processing Ramps Up
S&P Global reported: US gas producer Range Resources is on target to fill its remaining capacity on the Rover natural gas pipeline by the end of the year as processing additions in the Northeast allow for production growth from wet plays within the region, executives said Wednesday.The eighth-largest domestic gas producer holds a commitment for 400 MMcf/d of long-term firm capacity on Rover, with plans for delivering 200 MMcf/d to markets in the Southeast and 200 MMcf/d to the pipeline’s market zone that extends north toward the Dawn Hub in Ontario. Rover’s Burgettstown supply lateral, which received the go-ahead in August to begin service, has access to the Revolution and Harmon Creek gas processing complexes.
