Winter Storm Alert Update – February 5, 2026
As conditions have stabilized following last weekend’s storms and carriers have resumed normal operations, Mansfield is currently on Code Green for all markets.
Cold Front Ahead
A surge of Arctic air is set to impact states in the northeastern quarter of the country this weekend. The system is expected to begin with bursts of snow from the Great Lakes through the Appalachians on Friday, followed by rapidly falling temperatures, winds, and a sharp freeze-up.
Mansfield will continue to monitor conditions closely and remain fully engaged in supporting customer needs, coordinating with carriers to ensure safe and reliable deliveries wherever operations can proceed safely.
Winter Additives
If you’re unsure whether your fuel is being treated with winter additives and/or kerosene, or want to restock your winter additives supply, make sure you speak with your account representative as soon as possible.
Mansfield strongly recommends keeping cold-flow additives, such as Arsenal ColdPRO, and an emergency reliquifier, such as Red Alert, on site for emergencies.
Mansfield customers can order winter additives by emailing additives@mansfieldoil.com. Delivery timelines will depend on current road conditions and the region. Additionally, due to a sudden surge in demand for winter additives, some products may be temporarily unavailable at the time an order is placed.
Note that cold-flow additives can be added as a preventive measure, while reliquifiers should only be used in response to gelled fuel.
