Winter Storm Alert Update – February 3, 2026
Winter Storm Gianna delivered significant impacts across the Southeast and much of the East Coast over the weekend. The system produced heavy snowfall, strong winds, coastal flooding, and widespread power outages across multiple states.
Operational Update
Carriers have resumed normal schedules in most impacted regions. However, in areas with higher snowfall totals and sustained subfreezing temperatures, particularly in certain coastal and northern states, icy roadways and limited site accessibility continue to affect delivery timing.
Mansfield is closely monitoring conditions and maintaining active coordination with carriers to support customer requests as safely and efficiently as possible. Delays may still occur where road conditions or site access present safety risks.
Site accessibility remains critical. Lots, driveways, and tank access points must be fully cleared and safe for entry. If locations are not accessible, deliveries may be canceled, and additional charges may apply.
Mansfield remains on Code Orange in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C., Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, requesting a 48-hour notice for deliveries.

Check out Mansfield’s guide for post-storm fuel operations, including when to communicate with your supplier, how to determine if fuel is gelled, and how to prevent missed deliveries due to ice.
