Storm Alert – Hurricane Erin – August 18, 2025
Mansfield is closely monitoring Hurricane Erin, which remains a Category 4 storm after briefly reaching Category 5 status over the weekend. Forecast models indicate the system will continue tracking northwest, keeping the storm offshore and away from a direct U.S. landfall. While landfall is unlikely, Erin is expected to remain a major hurricane through midweek before beginning to weaken as it encounters cooler waters and increased wind shear.
Mansfield has taken proactive measures to safeguard supply continuity and customer operations in potentially impacted areas. At this time, no major port condition changes or long-term disruptions are expected.
Mansfield will remain on alert and continue to provide updates as Hurricane Erin progresses.
