Storm Alert – Hurricane Rafael

By Published On: November 7, 2024Categories: Alerts, Storm Season

Hurricane Rafael, a Category 2 storm, entered the Gulf of Mexico on Wednesday night after passing through Cuba. Initially thought to threaten the U.S. Gulf Coast, recent forecasts indicate a shift toward Mexico. Rafael is expected to move westward through the southern Gulf over the weekend, with landfall projected early next week as a weaker tropical storm. The U.S. Gulf Coast faces minimal risk, with only parts of southern Texas potentially experiencing any residual effects.

As a precaution, Mansfield has been working with customers in coastal areas to top off fuel tanks. We will continue to monitor the storm and provide updates on any impacts to fuel supply or logistics. Thank you for your continued trust as we navigate this season safely.
