Winter Storm Alert – Orlena – February 2, 2021

By Published On: February 2, 2021Categories: Alerts, Daily Market News & Insights, Storm Season

Yesterday, several markets in the Northeast were forced to pull trucks off the roads due to blizzard-like conditions and high winds. New York City and a few surrounding cities issued a state of emergency, and several interstates were closed to tractor-trailers.

Snowfall yesterday peaked at a rate of 1-3 inches per hour in New York and New England states.  Many fuel carriers are delaying delivery times this morning until road conditions are evaluated.

Given successful deliveries in the Central region, Mansfield is moving to Code Green in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan and Indiana.  The following regions remain on Code Orange: Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, New York, and New England states. Mansfield requests a 48-hour notice for all deliveries in Code Orange areas.  Mansfield will continue communicating about specific delivery challenges with customers.
