Storm Alert – Tropical Storm Zeta: Code Yellow

By Published On: October 26, 2020Categories: Alerts, Daily Market News & Insights, Storm Season

Tropical Storm Zeta is currently southeast of Cozumel, Mexico. It has sustained winds of up to 70 mph and is expected to strengthen into a hurricane as it moves northwest.

The storm is expected to make landfall along the US Gulf Coast on Wednesday at or near hurricane strength. Like many other storms this year, Zeta’s path is aimed between Louisiana and the Florida Panhandle.

On a positive note, the storm is expected to fly through the Gulf, pass over the Southeast, and spin out into the Atlantic by Friday. Fast storms typically result in lower damage, since the damaging winds and rain don’t have as much time to wreak havoc.

Mansfield is currently on Code Yellow for the coastal areas of each of the following states: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle.
