Tropical Storm Sally is expected to make landfall in Louisiana Tuesday morning as a Category 1 hurricane. The storm quickly developed into a tropical storm over the weekend, and further strengthening is possible. Sally is moving slowly and will bring over a foot of rain to some areas along with dangerous storm surge.
The region is still recovering from the effects of Hurricane Laura, which caused prolonged refinery downtime for some areas. In addition, Florida, which is nearly entirely fed by barges from Gulf Coast refineries, could see some supply interruptions as the storm has made shipments challenging.
Mansfield is moving to Code Orange for the New Orleans market and coastal Mississippi. We will continue monitoring the storm for changes and will alert customers as necessary.
