Gainesville, GA – August 30, 2016 – Analysis by Chris Carter – Tropical Depression Nine continues to move into the Gulf Coast. It currently remains poorly organized; however, it has the potential to become a Tropical Storm in the next 48 hours. Models are still in agreement that the storm will continue to hook back into Florida, north of Tampa. The storm is projected to bring heavy rains into central Florida this week.
Tropical Depression Eight continues to move towards the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Wind shear will prevent the storm from any further strengthening past Wednesday morning. It is expected to bring heavy winds and rain to the Carolinas and southern Virginia beaches over the next 48 hours.
We continue to stay in Hurricane Status “Orange” for Alabama, Florida and North Carolina. We will continue to monitor supply and top off customers in the projected affected regions.
