Mansfield’s Expertise Sought During Colonial Pipeline Leak Coverage

By Published On: September 23, 2016

Gainesville, GA – September 23, 2016 – Since the recent Colonial Pipeline gas line leak near Helena, AL, Mansfield’s Supply and Logistics teams have been at the forefront of area media coverage providing industry insights and sharing the impacts of the situation to our industry.

Andy Milton, SVP of Supply, has represented Mansfield in the media throughout this situation, which we treated with the same importance and urgency as a natural disaster by moving to a Red Alert last week.

This week alone, Milton participated in six television and radio interviews appearing in Atlanta’s primetime newscasts and online news stories (FOX 5 Atlanta, WXIT-TV 11Alive, WSB-TV Channel 2, NPR affiliate Georgia Public Broadcasting). More than 2.2M homes are reached in Metro Atlanta according to Nielsen rankings of the top local TV markets.

Mansfield’s expertise and response to the gasoline pipe leak even reached The Wall Street Journal. Bloomberg Reporter Laura Blewitt referenced Mansfield’s FUELSNews Supply Alerts in its coverage writing: North American fuel distributor Mansfield Oil Co. on Thursday urged its customers to take fuel-saving measures over the next week and place orders early as its supply distribution network was impacted from Mississippi to Maryland.
