Mansfield Supply Alert – Colonial Pipeline Outage

By Published On: September 19, 2016

Gainesville, GA – September 19, 2016 – On Friday, Colonial Pipeline began excavation to begin the repair of the gasoline line. Colonial continued to work throughout the weekend and anticipates line 1 to become operational this week. Colonial continues shipping gasoline on Line 2 to help provide some relief to the impacted areas. It was also announced that Colonial has been able to make limited deliveries upstream of western Alabama off Line 1. Colonial has over 550 people working 24 hours a day to help solve this problem. Colonial is also investigating the possibility of building a temporary segment of pipeline around the leak to help return product movement as soon as possible.

Gas continues to be very tight and challenging as the delay continues. We are also seeing diesel allocations tighten up as well. Operations, Carrier Relations and Supply continue to work to cover all loads and customer needs. Please continue to give advanced notice when placing orders.
